Ducati Panigale V2 Highlights

Ducati has launched the Panigale V2 at Rs Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). That's a premium of Rs 1.7 lakh over its predecessor, the Panigale 959. Pre-bookings for Ducati’s latest entry-level supersport, the Panigale V2, commenced across India in July, and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The V2 has been styled to look like the Ducati Panigale V4 but gets different visual elements like a redesigned fairing, a stubby exhaust muffler, and new wheels. It also features new switchgear and a color TFT screen.

The Panigale V2 is powered by a 955cc Euro5-compliant V-twin engine. The motor produces 155PS at 10,750rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm, an increment of 5PS and 2Nm over the older bike. Being a supersport offering, the Panigale V2 is loaded with electronic aids such as ride modes, multi-level traction control, cornering ABS, and more.

It retains the same suspension setup as the 959 Panigale: 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) at the front and Sachs mono-shock at the rear, both fully adjustable. Instead of the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas on the 959, you now get stickier Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires on the V2.

The Ducati Panigale V2 will compete against the upcoming Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R BS6 and Triumph Daytona 765.
