Ducati has finally launched the Streetfighter V4 SP in India.
Ducati India launched the Streetfighter V4 in India in May 2021. The standard version is priced at Rs 22,15,000 while the 'S' variant costs between Rs 25,49,000 and Rs 25,69,000. The newly launched V4 SP retails at Rs 34.99 lakh. All prices ex-showroom India.
The bike is powered by a 1103cc 90-degree V4 engine producing 208PS and 123Nm. Power output can be increased to 220PS with the help of an Akrapovic exhaust system. It weighs just 180kg (dry) and is suspended on an upside-down fork and mono-shock. The S version gets electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension. The Streetfighter V4's only rival at the moment is the Kawasaki Z H2.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is priced at Rs 22,15,000 and is available only in one color: Ducati Red. The higher-spec Streetfighter V4 S retails at Rs 25,49,000 for Ducati Red and Rs 25,69,000 for Dark Stealth color. The top-spec variant, the V4 SP retails for Rs 34,99,000.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 comes with an all-LED lighting system and a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with optional smartphone connectivity called the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). The engine is reined in by a bevy of electronic aids such as Race, Sport, and Street riding modes, three levels of cornering ABS, an eight-level cornering traction control system, a two-level Ducati Slide Control, wheelie control system, engine brake control, and a three-level launch control system. And to keep the rubber side down at high speeds, the motorcycle also features ‘biplane’ aerodynamic winglets that can generate downforce of 28kg at 270kmph.
Ducati has equipped the Streetfighter V4 with a Euro5/ BS6-compliant 1103cc liquid-cooled V4 engine, churning out a massive 208PS at 12,750rpm and 123Nm at 9,500rpm. The engine is linked to a hydraulically actuated 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. Ducati offers a bidirectional quick shifter as standard. The peak power can be further increased to 223PS and torque to 130Nm using an optional Ducati performance exhaust (track only) that is lighter than the stock unit by 6kg.
Ducati Streetfighter V4 Suspension & Brakes:
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is built on an aluminum alloy front frame with the engine as the stressed member, linked to a trellis subframe and a single-sided cast aluminum swingarm. The bike is suspended on a fully adjustable 43mm Showa Big Piston Front fork with a Sachs steering damper and a fully adjustable Sachs rear-linked mono-shock. The Streetfighter V4 S variant comes with a much more sophisticated 43mm Ohlins NIX 30 front and Ohlins TTX36 rear unit, and an Ohlins steering damper -- all electronically actuated.
For braking, it employs dual 330mm front discs with top-of-the-line Brembo Stylema radial calipers and a 245mm rear disc with a two-piston caliper. While the standard variant gets cast aluminum wheels, the S variant rolls on lighter Marchesini forged aluminum units. With all these features, the S variant tips the scale at 199kg curb whereas the regular model weighs 201kg curb. The V4 SP, on the other hand, tips the scales at 196.5kg.
