Kawasaki Z900 Highlights

Kawasaki has launched the MY22 Z900 in India and there's no change to the bike from its outgoing 2021 BS6 model. We are a bit disheartened that Kawasaki didn't even bring the new colors that were recently introduced on the international model. Thankfully, the Rs 8.42 lakh price tag remains the same.

The styling of the 2020 Kawasaki Z900 is similar to the older bike, but the new bike features an LED headlight. Also, it has been equipped with a new TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. The new Kawasaki Z900 also gets electronics such as four riding modes, a three-level traction control system, and two power modes.

An interesting aspect of the new Z900 is the fact that despite meeting BS6 emission norms, power figures haven’t dropped. The 948cc, inline-four cylinder engine produces 125PS and 98.5Nm of peak torque. It features a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assists clutch.

Underpinnings have remained unchanged as the BS4-compliant model but the motorcycle rolls on new Dunlop Sportsmax Roadsport 2 tires. The 2020 Kawasaki Z900 competes against the Suzuki GSX-S750, Triumph Street Triple R, BMW F 900 R, and the KTM 790 Duke.
