Last updated on Dec 04, 2022 in Bike Reviews

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been launched in two variants - Retro and Metro, although the engine and cycle parts are the same in both, the switch gears and speedometer are old in the retro. At the same time, you get to see the metro switch gears and speedometer only with the Meteor 350. Not only this, but the metro also has two variants. A Metro Dapper and Metro Rebel. You will have to spend an additional Rs 5000 for Metro Rebel and in this, you get to see different colors and graphics. Not only this, Bybee brakes have been given in it while you get normal brakes in Dapper. However, there was no significant difference in stopping power.

Looks and Design

Hunter 350 looks quite compact and with tremendous design. Not too many body panels and a big fuel tanks were given in this motorcycle. The headlight and indicators have retained the Royal Enfield identity as there are no LED lights to be found here. If you want indicator LEDs, you can get them as accessories by spending extra money.

Fork boots are available in telescopic suspension. If you look at the exhaust, it looks quite compact and till now you would not have seen this type of exhaust in any Royal Enfield bike.

Ergonomics and Riding Position

The seat of the Hunter 350 Metro will make you feel very comfortable if you are riding without a pillion rider. The seat height is less than the Classic 350, so even people with small height can easily ride this motorcycle and the weight is light, so there will be no problem in handling it in traffic.

Features and Technology

In Hunter 350 only Meteor 350 is given. In this, you can see half part digital and half part analog. The screen displays all the ride information like trip meters, grip position indicator, service due, and clock. However, it does not get the navigation tripper standard. You will have to spend extra money to get it as an accessory in each variant. Apart from this, you also get a USB port near the reverse-handed switchgear, due to which you can charge your smartphone.

Engine and Performance

In Royal Enfield's 350 cc fleet, the Hunter 350 is the most flamboyant to drive. This is also because this motorcycle is 14 kg lighter than the Classic 350. The Hunter looks peppy at higher RPMs. On the other hand, if you drive it in the mid-range and high range, then it seems to give you performance like other 350 cc motorcycles of RE. 350 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. On the highway, if you try to overtake at a speed of 80-90 kph, then you get to see flat torque from the engine. Even at low speed, you can easily drive it in high gear. The NVH levels and refinement of the engine are very impressive. The exhaust note is such that whether you are driving in the city or on the highway, you are seen increasing your confidence during the entire ride.

The 17-inch wheels, light body, and cornering are not a problem at all. Talking about braking, here too you do not get to see any jitters.

Mileage

Talking about the mileage, there is a full tank of 13 liters and once you get a full tank, you can easily run up to 420 kilometers. That is, you get to see the mileage of up to 32-33 km.
