Honda CB200X Latest Update

Prices of Honda two-wheelers have gone up for April 2022. If you are planning to buy a Honda two-wheeler, check out the new prices here.

 Honda CB200X Price:

The Honda CB200X is priced at Rs 1,46,499. Comparatively, the Hornet 2.0 is pegged at Rs 1,34,238 (both, ex-showroom Gurugram). Honda offers the motorcycle in three colour schemes: Sports Red, Matte Selene Silver Metallic, and Pearl Nightstar Black.

 Honda CB200X Features:

Given that it is based on the Hornet 2.0, the CB200X ADV gets the same set of modern features as the naked. The LED headlight, full-digital dash, and even the tail lamp are borrowed from the Hornet. That said, the headlamp and the instrument cluster have been mounted to the fairing, and the front LED indicators on the knuckle guards.

Honda has equipped the motorcycle with a taller handlebar and revised split seats for an upright riding stance. It also gets a windshield to mitigate wind blasts out on the highway. There’s a hazard lamp switch and a tank-mounted key slot as well. The fuel tank is the same 12-litre unit as the naked.

 Honda CB200X Engine:

The 184.4cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine arrives in the same state of tune as the Hornet 2.0. It still makes 17.23PS at 8500rpm and 16.1Nm at 6000rpm, paired with a 5-speed transmission.

Given that it is quite a torquey mill, we expect it to handle the daily grind as well as light off-roading well. However, we don’t think it would be well suited on the highway, partly because of its engine characteristics and partly because it lacks a sixth cog. For slightly better protection, the bike gets a plastic engine cowl.

 Honda CB200X Suspension And Brakes:

On the CB200X ADV, you get a golden USD fork and a preload-adjustable mono-shock. There’s no additional suspension travel here. Even the wheels are the same sized 17-inch units at both ends, albeit wrapped with block-pattern tyres measuring 110mm front and 140mm at the rear.

Braking hardware too has been borrowed from the Hornet with a 276mm/220mm (front/rear) petal disc brake setup anchoring the bike, with a single-channel ABS. At 147kg kerb, the CB200X is 5kg heavier than the Hornet 2.0.

 Honda CB200X Rivals:

The small-capacity Honda adventure bike will lock horns with the Hero XPulse 200T. Another substitute is the off-road-friendly Hero XPulse 200. For around the same price though, you could also consider the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and Yamaha MT-15.
