Honda CB300R Latest Update

Prices of Honda two-wheelers have gone up for April 2022. If you are planning to buy a Honda two-wheeler.

The 2022 Honda CB300R has been launched in India. The Honda CB300R was discontinued when the BS6 emissions norms came into effect. Despite localization, the 2022 Honda CB300R is priced at quite a premium when compared to its predecessor at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The BS4 Honda CB300R retailed for Rs 2.41 lakh. Honda

CB300R BS6 Price:

The BS6 CB300R has been priced at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will be sold exclusively at Honda BigWing and BigWing Topline dealerships across India. While the BS4 iteration retailed at Rs 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), despite localization the BS6 version comes at a hefty premium.

 Honda CB300R BS6 Features:

The Honda CB300R comes with an all-LED lighting system and a full-LCD multifunction instrument cluster, the same as the BS4 version but now gets a gear position indicator. We wish Honda had equipped the bike with TFT instrumentation and smartphone connectivity. Moreover, the bike gets a gold-finished front fork, darker shades for the fuel tank extensions, and a slightly redesigned exhaust muffler.

 Honda CB300R BS6 Engine:

The CB300R BS6 is powered by a 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC motor, which is slightly more powerful than the BS4 version despite adhering to strict emission norms. The updated naked makes 31.1PS at 9000rpm and 27.5Nm at 7500rpm. In comparison, the BS4 bike produced 30.4PS at 8000rpm and 27.4Nm at 6500rpm. Honda has also equipped the motorcycle with a slipper clutch for its 6-speed gearbox.

Honda CB300R BS6 Suspension And Brakes:

In terms of underpinnings, the BS6 CB300R has remained unchanged. It continues with the same diamond-type frame with an upside-down Showa front fork and a rear mono-shock with a seven-step preload adjustment. A 296mm petal disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear (paired with IMU-assisted dual-channel ABS) anchor the bike. It rolls on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tires. The motorcycle tips the scales at 146kg kerb, 1kg lighter than its predecessor. The ground clearance and seat height are 157mm and 801mm, respectively.

 Honda CB300R BS6 Rivals:

Chief rivals of the Honda BS6 CB300R include the Bajaj Dominar 400, BMW G 310 R, and KTM 390 Duke. Given its price, the CB300R also competes with the KTM RC 390 and the TVS Apache RR 310.
