Honda CB650R Latest Update

Prices of Honda two-wheelers have gone up for April 2022. If you are planning to buy a Honda two-wheeler, check out the new prices here.

 2021 Honda CB650R Price

The Honda CB650R is priced at Rs 8,67,865 (ex-showroom) and is available in two colors: red and black. It is sold at Honda Big Wing dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, Kochi, and Hyderabad.

 2021 Honda CB650R Features

For 2021, it gets a revised instrument console, smaller side panels, and a USB Type-C socket for added convenience. It also gets a retro LED headlight, tail light, and LED turn indicators. Its fully digital instrument console features a display with two trip meters and information such as a fuel gauge and average fuel consumption, a clock, and gear position and shifts indicator.

Electronic rider aids include switchable Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and a slip and assist clutch. Other notable features include Honda’s ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology which automatically activates the hazard lights in case of sudden braking, and an Ignition Security System (HISS), Honda’s lingo for an anti-theft system.

 2021 Honda CB650R Engine

While it uses the same 649cc liquid-cooled inline-four mill as the CBR650R, it’s been detuned to make 87PS at 12000rpm and 57.5Nm at 8500rpm, 1PS and 3Nm less than the BS4 CBR650R. It also weighs 3.5kg more than the international model, giving it a lower power-to-weight ratio. The motor works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission.

 2021 Honda CB650R Suspension & Brakes

In terms of hardware, the CB650R features a 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston USD fork and a pro-link mono-shock. Its braking setup consists of twin discs paired with Nissin radial calipers up front and a single disc at the rear.

 2021 Honda CB650R Rivals

In terms of competition, the CB650R takes on the Triumph Trident 660, Aprilia Tuono 660, and Kawasaki Z650. However, for around the same price, you can also check out the Triumph Street Triple R, which makes more power and has better electronics.
