Triumph Tiger 900 Highlights

The Triumph Tiger 900 range is the successor to the Tiger 800 lineup. The 900cc version of the Triumph Tiger was unveiled in December 2019 overseas and has now made its way to India. The Tiger 900 is available in three variants - the road-spec GT and the off-road-oriented Rally and Rally Pro.

 Triumph Tiger 900 Price:

The price of the Triumph Tiger 900 in India starts from 13,70,000 lakh for the GT variant. The Triumph Tiger 900 Rally is priced at Rs 14,35,000 while the Rally Pro retails at Rs 15,50,000 (all prices ex-showroom). Triumph has already started accepting bookings for the bike. 

 Triumph Tiger 900 Features:

The Triumph Tiger features a plethora of electronic aids. Depending on the variant, you get features like cornering ABS, switchable traction control, up to six riding modes, all-LED lighting system, full-colour TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, joystick operation via the left switchgear, traction control, and bi-directional quickshifter. 

The higher-end variants even get an electrically adjustable rear Marzocchi suspension, spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, heated grips, heated rider and pillion seats, and tyre pressure monitoring system. 

 Triumph Tiger 900 Engine:

This BS6 Triumph Tiger is powered by an 888cc inline-three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 95.2PS at 8750rpm and 87Nm at 7250rpm in the UK-spec version. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission with slip and assist clutch. The claimed mileage of the UK-spec Tiger 900 stands at 19.2kmpl. 

 Triumph Tiger 900 Suspension & Brakes:

This Triumph Tiger 900 is built on a modular steel trellis frame with a bolt-on aluminium subframe. It is suspended on a non-adjustable Marzocchi 45mm inverted front fork and a preload-adjustable Marzocchi rear monoshock. The higher-end GT variant packs a compression and rebound adjustment up front and preload and rebound at the rear. On the other hand, the GT Pro features an electronically adjustable rear Marzocchi monoshock. The more off road-centric Rally variant comes with 45mm Showa inverted front fork with compression, rebound and preload adjustment whereas the rear gets a Showa monoshock adjustable for preload and rebound. Brakes include twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema radial calipers up front and a 255mm disc with Brembo single-piston sliding caliper at the rear. Depending on the variant, the bike rolls either on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy with road-biased tyres or a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with tubeless block pattern tyres.
